Braunton is close enough to Barnstaple to start feeling a bit of the modern world.


Barnstaple - Largest town in North Devon and a centre of sorts since Norman times.


After a good days walking the town of Instow makes for a pleasant place to relax.


An interesting market town which has a lot of historical features.

Westward Ho! is the end of the trail for those on the Exmoor and North Devon Coast Path.
