We are excited to introduce the Lake District to our walkers and are creating some really exciting walks for our community of walkers with our own, in-house Lake District Specialist.

Or begin your journey into Lakeland tradition with our Introduction to the Wainwrights, bagging your first summits from the iconic 214 fells that have inspired generations of hikers.

The Wainwrights introduction

Start bagging some Wainwrights with Encounters! We are thrilled to start introducing some of the famous Wainwrights collection to our community. The Wainwrights are 214 fells (hills/mountains) in England's Lake District documented by Alfred Wainwright in his classic seven-volume Pictorial Guide to the Lakeland Fells, inspiring countless hikers to climb them all.
